Conference Gathering??
Not sure if a thread like this has come into play yet....sooo here it is.
A GC gathering???
Are you going?
And would you all like to meet up??

We would love to go.... and meet all the pastors, posters, imposters, and undertakers etc. from this forum... It's not looking like it can happen right now though.

i avoid GC's like the plague.... its usually "just for show"..... and long offerings to boot.... hehehehe
and now yah gotta pay just to get into services, correct??
that will be the day when i pay to attend a church service....

I am going. Flying in that Tuesday late afternoon and leaving Sunday afternoon.
As for paying to go to a church service....think of it as your offering for the services. $25 for 8 services.....a little over $3 per service.

NYLP,
I would love to do this one year at a GC. The next time it gets within about four hours of Nashville I am going to attend if possible.
My last GC was the 99 one in Nashville. I planned on going to one a few years later in Louisville and even had hotel reservations at the headquarters hotel but at the last minute UPC relatives chose that week to come visit Nashville!!!!

This is not "church" Mal.....
This is a conference where the "offerings" were to meet the needs of the conference (i.e. the rental of the arena/convention center). If you have a normal attendance at a GC and people are paying $25 (before August 24) or $35 there onsite....it is meeting the needs of the conference.
The personal offerings to Home Missions or Foreign Missions is another story....that goes to the fulfillment of our mission as the UPCI...the whole gospel to the whole world.
