Prayers for Depression, Effects from Abuse, etc
I realize I'm new here, but if anyone could pray for me, I would greatly appreciate it. I struggle with memories of an abusive childhood. I've been through mental and physical abuse, and was bullied tremendously from middle school through about my second year of high school. These things greatly affected my sense of self and my identity. Unfortunately, I didn't know the Lord at that time (mid-late 90's), and I began to struggle with homosexuality and have gone through seasons of living an actively gay lifestyle and being celibate due to my relationship with the Lord. I would like anyone who would to please pray for me to be delivered of a sense of a false identity, and also that I would no longer be haunted by my past. Thank you, and I promise to review the requests on here as well.

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

Praying for you. No easy answers or magical words but I do know that the Lord will strengthen you and help you if you lean on him.

We had a healing service today, that was a tiny bit of the Word that came forth during the meeting.
