My evil sibling
It has already started. My sister went behind my back last week and tried to get my our Dad to sign some paper.
I don't need this.

The house as well as my dad's possession. She is willing to defy law by just going in and helping herself, putting me in a very awkward position.

Re: My evil sibling

Florida Intestacy Rules
A surviving spouse of the decedent receives the entire estate if the decedent has no surviving lineal descendants (children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc).
A surviving spouse of the decedent will also receive the entire estate if the decedent had descendants that are also descendants of the surviving spouse and neither the decedent nor the surviving spouse had any other children.
If the decedent is survived by both a spouse and lineal descendants and any of the lineal descendants is not also a descendant of the spouse, then the spouse is entitled to one half of the estate, and the descendants share the balance, per stirpes.
If there are lineal descendents but no surviving spouse, then the estate is shared by the lineal descendants.
If there is no surviving spouse and no lineal descendents, then the estate passes to lineal ascendants (parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc.) and collateral relatives (siblings, aunts, uncles, etc.). This means that if the decedent’s parents are alive then they are entitled to the estate. If the parents are not alive, then the estate passes to the decedent’s brothers and sisters and their descendents, per stirpes.
If none of the above heirs survive, then the estate passes to the heirs of the decedent’s grandparents, per stirpes, with one half of the estate going to the decedent’s maternal relatives and one half going to the decedent’s paternal relatives. If there are no relatives on one side, then the entire estate passes to the

Re: My evil sibling
Hate to hear this. Sometimes death brings out the worst in people, particularly greedy ones. Praying it all works out. I know in grief you may not feel like dealing with this but you should. Stand up to her and see that what is right is done. Otherwise you may be kicking yourself for not doing so for years down the road. Work for the end result that you know would have been your dad's wishes regarding his estate.

Titus2woman on AFF
"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

How sad, talk to any financial planner and they can tell stories how the funeral is on Saturday and Monday morning the so-called heirs are waiting at the front door. I had 3 siblings when my dad died and my sister and I handled the estate. My oldest brother had already said to not worry about his share because the two of us had taken care of his affairs in prior years. The will said it was to be split 4 ways and we didn't even question it, regardless of what the oldest said.....he got his share and that was just fine. We still speak by the way.

You are getting an opportunity to be the bigger kid in the sandbox. I lost out on anything from my father, and my mother's car that she wanted me to have. I just let it go. Yet, that is me. I'm not suggesting you do as I once did. You have to work this out between you and Jesus. Absalom totally desolated David's world, and Shimei cursed David as he feeled from his son. Some of the guys who were with David wanted to kick Shimei's tail end. But David had bigger fish to fry. We sometimes have to do the heavy lifting, even when we are in the right. David was going through what he was going through because of Uriah the Hittite, it was prophesied to him how it was going to go down. So, he dealt with it. We always need to remember sometimes we are the windshield and sometimes we are the bug. But, never the less we got to be the bigger kid in the sandbox.

Agreed. Sometimes these things are not worth the mental energy it takes to even combat it. Hopefully we will be able to buy her out.

My sister died this morning at 4 am. We been through a lot ever since childhood. She was 62. All my other siblings are older. The older we get, we find that battles we fought weren't worth our spiritual energy. Separation isn't just how we dress, it is how we respond, instead of react. An unneeded expense right now and aggravation of having to buy her out is taxing. Let Jesus lead through the move of His Spirit. My sister is gone, and while we had disagreements at times. She gone. I'm praying for you my brother, I hope all turns out perfectly In Jesus name.
