Hey Everybody...I Need Help!!!

Tonight I went to a class on Medical Transcription. I used to transcribe roughly 12 years ago and so much has changed.

Well, I am thinking about entering the field again as we have a family (some of our best support) moving in June and so putting me in the position of having to get a job. ( I don't want the Skinner to have to do that, cause I can get a better paying job and he can preach out if he needs to)

So where I need the help is.... do I take this course which I can do in about 3-6 months or....... get a job right now.

Transcription pays well and I can do it from my home on my time, but it will take me a little while to start making money.

So........opinions please (and try to be serious or else)

Well, you have time before June to get the schooling in so....

on the other hand, getting a different job now will give time to build up some savings....

question, will the transcription job pay more than any job you could get now?

How much is it worth being home for those boys?

Go to work ya bum Nah A good friend of ours is a preacher's wife and she has been doing it for 31 years. My wife was interested as well and was told there is a place online that will pay while you learn. We haven't looked that up yet, mainly because were just too lazy , so I do not know where but we were told on monster is the best place to look.

Technology has changed quite a bit in 12 years, and most people didn't even have a computer that long ago. With the invention and utilization of technology and all, I don't think taking this class will be anything less than beneficial for you.

Go for it!

In total sincerity, I trust the prayers of you and CS. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that God will lead and direct you in what you need to do.

What you are dealing with is a "will of God" decision. Although advice is helpful, such decisions usually come from God to the individual IMO. I would personally caution against a 6 month course. Could turn out to be a lengthy commitment that would have to be broken.

Would it change if I told you that it was at home. I don't have to go anywhere to take the course, it's an on my own course?

I would take the class. Do what you have done in the past. Also it gives the Lord the right amount of time to bring more good folks to your church.

Put forth the extra effort and God will bless u..That I am certain.

Doesn't change the aspect of the will of God at all. Does change the timing aspect.

I would go for the class to get updated so that when you apply you can tell them that...you come with experience, but also have taken a class so you can bring current information to the job...

Sis... My wife recently got hired as receptionist at a local school.. she gets paid year around even in the summer when she is off... You might want to check your local schools... She loves her job.. and has great job security...and she only works 191 days a year.. all major holidays and minor ones off... she also is off when the kids are...
