8.4 magnitude quake off the Mexican coast
An earthquake hit off the coast of Chiapas, Mexico.


"A magnitude 8.4 earthquake has struck off the coast of Mexico leaving at least three dead, mass evacuations and warnings of tsunamis across the region."

I was working fo an attorney in 1985 who went down to help that disaster of an earthquake in Mexico City.

The Apostles would have to wait years for the news of a single(elsewhere) global earthquake(sign).

OK, explain the above record holding earthquake?

Also explain what a 11.0 on the Richter scale would do.
