84 Baptized in Jesus Name This Weekend!
This weekend was another one of our approximately quarterly Praise & Worship weekends that is comprised of a special Friday night Praise & Worship service that is about 3 hours of just that with a baptismal service at the end.
Then the 4 regular weekend services (5pm & 7pm Saturday and 9am & 11am Sunday) are lessons on baptism with a baptismal service at the end of each of those as well.
We had 41 people come forward to be baptized Friday night and then 43 more over the four regular services for a total of 83 souls baptized in Jesus Name this weekend!
I was baptized many decades ago and have witnessed probably thousands of baptisms in my lifetime but it never gets old to see people choose to identify themselves with Christ in the waters of baptism and in His name.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Praise Jesus God is good.
When did that church start, how many baptisms have they performed since they started? How many people are in the church presently?

Re: 84 Baptized in Jesus Name This Weekend!
This weekend was the first time in the almost 8 years our church has existed that the baptismal tanks had heated water! LOL!!!
We are not in a purpose built church building so our baptismal tanks are two large round portable ones (I think maybe actually water tanks for cattle) that are stored underneath the platform when not in use. Apparently we finally bought heaters for them.

* The church is almost 8 years old
* Have baptized around 1,000 people in that time with around 300 people per year being baptized the last couple of years.
* Church stated with a literal handful of people and ended 2016 averaging 2200-2500 people per weekend over 4 services. January 2017 the average weekend attendance was around 2800. (Saturday services a few hundred each then the two Sunday services are larger)
* One year ago this coming Easter we moved across to the other end of our building from a 650 seat sanctuary to a 1200 seat one that we just added another 100 seats to for the Sunday 11 am service that is our fullest so we now have seating for 1300 per service plus the folks in Sunday School.

If this works here is a pic of Friday's Praise & Worship night. We did not use the regular platform but had the band in the center of the room.
We take all of the chairs out to hold more people so that is all people, no chairs.

This is the webcast of the Praise & Worship night. It doesn't actually start until about 15 minutes and 50 seconds into the video.

Rather then building a new building, after FPC Palm Bay filled our sanctuary (which seats 1K) we opted for starting daughter works in nearby cities. We are lucky to have enough talented people to provide leadership in the daughter work churches.
