Gun Violence Politicized By President Once Again

Every time a mass shooting happens, President Obama uses it a an opportunity to exploit the tragedy for political gain. This time he openly admits he is politicizing it. He says we owe an apology to everyone who has lost a loved one in a mass killing. We are all collectively guilty he says because we won't pass legislation to prevent such tragedies. He says that our friends in Europe don't have these types of crimes because of their gun laws.

#1: Politicizing the tragedy for political points is despicable. Admitting that he is doing so shows the lack of decorum and fairness a president should have. Could you wait Mr. President for the investigators to get someone information on the killer and some evidence to get collected? Oregon is a liberal state with a stronger anti gun environment than most states. Obviously the measures they have taken to prevent these types of tragedies didn't work. Also, the gunman acquired the guns he owned legally---revealing that laws about background checks and waiting periods are limited in what they can do to prevent mad men from getting guns.

#2: President Obama had two years of full Democrat control Congress from 2009-2010. He and they did nothing concerning gun control. Guess HE owes the apology, not the rest of us.

#3: IF we follow after the European model, guns would be virtually banned altogether. Average citizens could not own a gun under most circumstances. Our Constitution would have to be scrubbed of the 2nd Amendment. Law abiding citizens couldn't hunt, shoot guns for sport, or more importantly defend themselves.

You can't legislate righteousness.
