Wendy Davis life facts blurred in race for TX Gov
I only brought out one fact that caught my eye in this article. How does a "mother" lose custody of her children, and one that didn't even belong to her husband, but from a former relationship?
Her filibuster against abortion restrictions was so ridiculous. She didn't win a thing from it and the Democrats are trying to tout her as a rising star. Good grief.
Quote:
As Wendy Davis touts life story in race for governor, key facts blurred
The basic elements of the narrative are true, but the full story of Davis’ life is more complicated, as often happens when public figures aim to define themselves. In the shorthand version that has developed, some facts have been blurred.
When they divorced in 2005, he was granted parental custody, and the girls stayed with him. Wendy Davis was directed to pay child support.
She did the right thing,” he said. “She said, ‘I think you’re right; you’ll make a good, nurturing father. While I’ve been a good mother, it’s not a good time for me right now.’”

Greg Abbott will be our next Governor.
Kudos to Tammy Bruce!

“They’ve asked me not to talk to reporters,” Jeff Davis stated. “If she runs, the scrutiny on her will be extraordinary. She needs to deal with it in a constructive way. She needs to take control of the message….My goal in all this, I think, is just try and protect the kids as much as I can.”

Only in America, and only would a Democrat claim to be a good mother while pushing her two daughters away to a man who isn't even the biological father of one of the daughters.

“Abortion Barbie” Wendy Davis Claims in Court That She Has Mental Health Issues
Back in 1996, Wendy Davis lost an election for the Fort Worth, TX City Council. After the election, she sued the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the local newspaper, for defamation. In short, Davis did not like being criticized by the media (something she won’t have to worry about this go round), so she sued for those criticisms claiming they defamed her.
The Texas Court of Appeals and then the Texas Supreme Court both threw out her case. But it is worth noting that Davis, in making her case, claimed that the nasty newspaper, by virtue of criticizing her, damaged her “mental health.”

Wendy Davis’ Ex Asked a Court to Order Her Not to Use Drugs Before Seeing Her Kids
It is her ex-husband who talked to a left-of-center Dallas reporter. It is also her ex-husband who asked a Texas District Court to issue a temporary restraining order against Wendy Davis in 2003.
In that order, the judge ordered that Wendy Davis “be immediately restrained from . . . using illegal drugs or consuming alcohol within 24 hours before or during the period of possession of or access to the child.”

Great Tweets:
Hi MSM! So, if Sarah Palin did what Wendy Davis did, would that make it news?
Wendy Davis needs a man like a fish needs a rich bicycle that will pay its way through fish law school and take full custody of its spawn.

The very fact that a woman capable of abandoning her own children, and a supporter of abortion, would be able to get to the governor race at all is scary, and speaks of the moral depravity of this generation... which perhaps is even sadder than what this woman has done.

So very true!
Ted Cruz was lambasted, even by Republicans, for filibustering on the side of the people and the Constitution.
Wendy was hailed a hero for filibustering late term abortion.
This is where we are in this country.

This was due to how the media spun the story.
Ted Cruz was criticized because the media painted him as "shutting down the government." Absolute lie, but it worked.
IIRC, the media painted Wendy Davis' filibuster as a fight for women's rights. Lost in their hero worship was the fact she was filibustering for late term abortions. They didn't mention that much, if at all. Only that she was fighting for women's rights.
