I Hope We Attack Syria Soon!
The line has been crossed.
America needs to respond with military force.
President Obama hates war, but he has to see that it is a necessary evil.
There is so much at stake-- we must respond with military force and our response needs to be STRONG and soon.

I hope we don't. This is a Syrian issue. Don't mean to sound crass or mean, but we can't afford to get involved in ANOTHER war. We're not the world's police, nor its savior.

Re: I Hope We Attack Syria Soon!
I agree with Jermyn. We need to act. Very doubtful it would be a "war" in the sense of Iraq or Afghanastan. But a cruise missle attack is not out of the question.
My concern is if Syria will start lobing missiles into Israel in an attempt to draw them into a war. This would complicate matters greatly.

Re: I Hope We Attack Syria Soon!
It seems that Assad is the good guy there. I just saw an article yesterday along with a video that showed the "rebels" who are Al Quida shoot 3 unarmed men because they did not worship Allah the way they do.
These same groups (led by Al Quida) have been killing many Syrian Christians. Most of the believers there support Assad because he was protecting them from the more militant Islamics there.
If we get involved the Russians will probably get involved and perhaps the Chinese. America could be getting set up for judgment.
We are SUPPOSEDLY at war with Al Quida. Why on Earth would we want to HELP THEM take over another country. That used to be called "treason".

How is the United States threatened by what is happening over in Syria?
Also are you willing to go and fight personally a war you are wanting to start?

While I believe there are elements of Al Qaeda in the ranks of the rebels I don't believe they are in the majority. They are filling a void because no one else will. That is their calling card, support people who have been ignored by the international community to garner support and fill the void.
While understanding that, I highly doubt Assad is any friend to Christians in the region. He supports terrorist who constantly send missles and bombs into Israel. So I'm not sure there will be a real winner in this conflict. But to sit back and allow a government/military to systematically kill hundreds of citizens with chemical warfare should be unacceptable to any country.
As I have already stated, precision strikes is all we can possibly do. There is no way we would or should put boots on the ground in Syria.

So you would support the rebels that are slaughtering people by cutting off their heads but not the regime that slaughters people by using chemicals.

Sooo... How do you feel about capital punishment?
Should we hang em or should we use chemicals?
BTW The rebels are militant Islamist's of one form or another.

Re: I Hope We Attack Syria Soon!
Warmongers will be warmongers. They demand American men and women be sent to die for nothing, and get drunk off the bloodshed. America has no interests in this Syrian civil war. By supporting the rebels, we're just arming, aiding and abetting the next US enemy.
"Those who don't know history's mistakes are doomed to repeat them." The US is arrogant and ignorant of this. And it's mostly Republican, bloodthirsty warmongers who are to blame for crying for more conflict, more of our soldiers to be put in harms way for nothing.
I wonder, what is their vested interest in becoming involved in Syria? McCain and his bff Graham, and all the others...what kind of money do they have invested in defense contracts or arms makers that they continuously cry for more war?
Most like JD and Scotty demand action, but I doubt would be very willing to either go themselves, or have their son or daughter be sent there.
Ask yourself...why in the world would Assad use chem weapons the very weekend the UN weapons team is arriving in the country? He knows what Obama has said about a red line....and so do the rebels. And now there are reports that the UN team was attacked by snipers....again, why would Assad target the UN team when he wants them to investigate the attack.
I'm sorry, but the rebels are a bunch of terrorists. They wouldn't think twice about bombing civilians and children in a chem attack if it meant Obama would send US forces to help overthrow the government and give them power.
I don't believe for one second that Assad did this. IMO it was the terrorist rebels we are arming.
And once Assad is gone, and these guys get into power...you think Egypt is a mess because of Obama's policy, just wait until these guys get control of Syria. Egypt will pale in comparison.
But y'all will get your bloodbath and war. Hope that satisfies you for at least a few more months before becoming thirsty for more war.
