Name Calling from Pulpit

We have had reports lately of two churches in our area that have literally called our church name from the pulpit and rebuked us and prayed against us. This is not the first time this has happened. We are constantly having to break these kind of word curses against us. Why is this????

There are lots of churches that I don't agree with, but we would not call them from the pulpit. Does any preacher have the right to do this, if he doesn't agree with someone else? Just curious as to if this is common anywhere else.

In the new media age, a church could put up a picture on a big screen of the rebuked and cursed church of the week! That way, you can recognize the building and curse it as you pass by it!

What a downright shame. All I have to say is "Bless those that curse you...."

Talk to Thad....you can not believe the statements surrounding (and really ashamed to say) UPC churches say about his church from their pulpit. All I have to say is that is it uncalled for and quite unchristianlike.

I think the only time another church needs to be brought before a church is if there is harm being down to the "body" or another church causing "division" at another church.

I think fear of the unknown is the biggie. None of these guys have ever met Eddie or me or been to our church. Most of the criticism we get is from people who have never stepped foot in here. When they do have the guts to come, they are typically surprised.

Well you remember how it used to be here. Most of them had never met him either, but they sure did like to talk about us.

While it wasn't from the pulpit, my church and pastor have been criticized by another local church. The pastor of this church has been calling on the phone, telling people not to come to my church for special events. Even called a couple ministers scheduled to preach and tried persuading them to back out.

It's all about jealousy.

That church is doing nothing and barely staying alive, while we're thriving in revival.

Reverse the curse!
