Re: Senators Call For Military Action Against Syri
Wag the dog. They must have seen Obama at 46% in Gallup and need to create a distraction.

This post does not make any sense.
Do you have any clue as to what's going on in Syria?
Do you have any clue as to who is suggesting that the President use our military or in what capacity?
Do you have any clue as to who within the Obama Adminstration has already suggested that we arm the Syrian rebels?
Do you have any idea of how serious this is?

I'm well aware of all of it. But his blind followers will cheer him establishing "freedom" in Syria just like he has in other Muslim countries, all the while radical Muslim regimes laugh at us. And yes I know it is idiot Republicans backing him on this. I'm convinced more than ever that half the GOP are really Democrats. McCain considered switching parties and ends up with the GOP nomination. Go figure.
So, my point stands. This is a diversion. We should not only not intervene in Syria, but we should withdraw from the middle east completely.

A decade of war is long enough. Let Syria fight its own battle. It'll just end up another Iraq or Afghanistan, where we spend billions we can't afford, possibly lose American lives and still the people will hate America.
Stop the warmongering and rattling the sabres.

Oh, but the "hawkish" people in the GOP will thump their chests and cry for war, i.e., McCain, Kristol, etc.

True. And they'll probably get their wish. First, the no-fly zones, then drone attacks. After that, special forces on the ground to coordinate with the rebels who will be happy to get our guns and other weapons, but then will turn against us once they have control.
It's the same thing repeated over and over.

We actually agree on something. Both parties do it, but leftist war protestors only seem to be upset when GOP Presidents go to war.
