This was the Bible lesson yesterday. It was all on one page and included the picture which I am including here as an attachment.
Pentecost and the Holy Spirit Baptism
Today is Sunday May 27, AD 2012. It is called Pentecost Sunday on the religious calendar.
Today we commemorate Pentecost Sunday May 28, AD 30 in Jerusalem.
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts 2:1-4
Jesus had died on the Feast of Passover. He was buried during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. He rose from the dead 3 days later on the Feast of First Fruits. He appeared to various disciples and walked and talked with them for 40 days. He then ascended into Heaven before their eyes. And now 10 days after His ascension He poured out the Holy Spirit on the Feast of Pentecost.
In Acts chapter 2 we find:
The Spirit (verses 1-4)
The Strangers (verses 5-13)
The Sermon (verses 14-36)
The Salvation (verses 37-41)
The Signs (verses 42-47)
