"I'm Going To Jackson" (Verse 2: Tennessee this time!)
Well, I'm far from 100% but I'm at least a little better. Probably a good thing as my schedule is going to put me in Jackson, Tennessee for three days. I'm still pretty weak and pretty short of breath but I am, sincerely, somewhat better.
I have set it as a principle to NEVER miss a Sunday at my place since I have to miss various midweek services throughout the year. Even so, I promised the man I'm preaching for some time ago that I would give him a Sunday so I'm going to be there this Sunday AM / PM and Tuesday evening.
I'm not sure if he's got my schedule locked up 24/7 or not but I was wondering if anybody knew of things to 'see and do' in the Jackson area in case I find myself with a little time on my hands? Good restaurants? Fountain of Youth?
Blessings on all and thanks again for the prayers!

Well, go on down to Jackson; go ahead and wreck your health.
Go play your hand you big-talkin' man, make a big fool of yourself,
Yeah, go to Jackson; go comb your hair!
Honey, I'm gonna snowball Jackson.
See if I care.

I'm kind of thankful that you're not a Prophet at this point... especially with those first two lines!

Seems we have a few here from that area.
Hook up with The Memphis crew and do lunch!
Deacon Blues, Renda and Tina are close to there.
Get Matt to come over and even get CC1 with Pianoman to pay for the whole thing!

Steady, I think if you do this your NEVER principle is blown out of the water.
There are some Jackon posters on this forum you may wish to catch up with.

You have no obligation to go to Jackson to preach under the physical restraints recently visited upon you. Your friend would be more than understanding...if he is truly a friend. He would advise you to stay home, resting, observing physician's advice and resting until you are indeed 100% your old self. Waste away your body if you will, but then who among friends will be there to give your health back to you? I suspect none.
My advice? Well,....
