Something to Consider

If God were in the next room, you, a believer, would run screaming from the building in fear. If Satan were in the same room with you, you would fall down in sheer awe and wonder. Ha, certainly didn't plan to open with this...

God is closer than in the next room. He's nothing to be scared of.

Ha, that's avoiding. Yes, God, as much of Him as you can embrace, is inside you, also. However, if the full presence of God were in the next room...you, and I, would run screaming like a girl.

Re: Something to Consider

I would guess that running and screaming would not be options. Read where Isaiah encounters God's presence, or John in Revelation.

Having encountered the holiness of God, and the fear, awe, and terror of being in His presence, I would also use experimental evidence that running and screaming are not something you would be able to do in the full presence of God. I am not saying I have experienced the full presence of God, but what I have experienced has left me utterly helpless before Him, unable (or is it just unwilling?) to speak, move, run, scream, or almost even breathe.

If you treat everyone you meet as if they were a plant that you had $100 invested in, your harvest will quickly become apparent.

We didn't understand His first trip; trust that His second is widely misrepresented.

Re: Something to Consider

I beg your pardon? Oh, the "God in the next room" thing? Ha, you better believe that if the full glory of God came to your town, you would run in terror in the other direction, probably without stopping to grab your child, lol. you want some scripture for that? I mean, really, this is just a fact of life; you think you could just suck it up, and go serve Him some tea, or something? lol

Re: Something to Consider

I imagine that it would depend on if you were full of the devil or not. I would know that I have heard of people who fled from the presence of God as they loved their sins more. I have also heard of people who just resisted. The devil can only present a dim mirror of what God's glory is, and those who are able to discern him (and it should not be hard as he only has one line) will either embrace him, flee him, or rebuke him. Personally, I would choose to rebuke him. God gave me more power than that foul creature ever dreamed of.
