You don't need an Ipad, you can use a nook too or some other ereader

Re: i pad
I read my Bible on my phone whenever I get a chance. I just go to my browser and then go to BlueLetterBible.com and they have all kinds of versions of the Bible available there. I've also used my phone to look up verses in a church service. And today when we were doing our Sunday School lesson, we wanted to know more about the Feast of Esther. So I looked it up on my phone.

Re: i pad
well I havd a droid, the best bible APP is YouVersion
The guy could be using that. The Nook is only a couple hundred compared to an Ipad or Xoom or the Samsun which are closer to 500, but they are true pads while the Nook and Kindle are just ebook readers. However I know the Nook is android based and I think you can add apps to it

Re: i pad
I become concerned about iPads when I look back in the congregation, during the service, and one of my members has the iPad in hand and ear plugs in their ears! lol :foot tap
I have the 64gb iPad and love it and use it for everything... weddings, funerals, sermons, Bible studies, Powerpoint Presentations etc. Wouldn't be without it!

Re: i pad
Our pastor used his ipad and these days when the pastor says "turn in your bibles" more and more people pull out their smart phone.
It's all still the word IMO. I think it's funny when people tell others to not use these devices. It's good to see folks discussing which is the best to use. I hope to have an Ipad and an opinion on this one day... but... so far... no go.
