If you could start over...

If you could start over, would you change anything? Pick any moment in your life where you made a choice. Would you change that choice, if you could?

(I don't mean necessarily start from age 0. "Start" from any time in your life that you'd like. Just clarifyin'. )

Re: If you could start over...

I don't know. I have regrets, but then again, every decision and even my worst errors have led me in a certain direction and given me certain experiences that I wouldn't change.

Hard to say, when you make it big picture like that. Certainly, I've said and done things I wish I hadn't. I'd push the delete button on those, if it were possible. When it comes to the big decisions that have shaped my life? Probably not.

Re: If you could start over...

There are alot of sinful things Ive done that I would like to take back, and greatly regret, but at the same time, having those experiences and being delievered from those things totally and completely gives me confidence that God can deliver from anything.

So in a way while my only regret is not being raised in a godly household, or coming to God as a child and being a faithful witness in High School, I would say I have no regrets because those experiences have helped me to understand grace, to relate to sinners, and to realize the amazing depths of the grace and love of God.

That said, I guess I have one tiny regret, but its not a big deal to me. I wish I owuld have left the UPC a little sooner. But again, even in those expereiences I have learned so much, even if sometimes it is what NOT to do, and how NOT to treat people.

Re: If you could start over...

Regrets?

I've had a few.

But then again, too few to mention.

Re: If you could start over...

In all honesty there are a few incredibly stupid things I've done which led to many years of bad consequences. However it ultimately led me to where I am now, and quite frankly I am very happy with where I am now. If I could go back and change some things it would have erased a few really tough years, but I'd probably be sitting in my home state right now hating the Winters but not able to move because of the kids, and hating my (decent paying) job.

I like my life (for the most part).
