Re: southern baptists in decline
My sister's are baptists! I read that article last night and thought about sending it to them since we tease each other...One goes to a little mission church and the other one goes to a more organized type church.Went fishing with the pastor and his wife and some of their people ...found them to be really nice folks. I think many organizations are in decline right now...

Organizational decline, does not necessarily reflect a decline of the Body of Christ!! Thank God!

Naw, not me. I always use this term because I was raised Baptist and became Pentecostal.

Re: southern baptists in decline
As far as "Southern Baptist" declining, that may be true. Baptist are just like Pentecostals and any other religious organization. The Southern Baptist church in my city (they are the church that makes the movies) is different in the other Baptist churches that I have knowledge of.
The Baptist church here doesn't allow anyone in a leadership position to drink, smoke, divorce, etc.
My brother-in-law is a Deacon in another Baptist church (near Atlanta) and he is in the middle of a divorce (she hasn't cheated), he drinks alcohol, etc and it's okay in his church. Blows my mind...
