Religion

seen on Facebook:

"Religion can be the enemy of God. It's often what happens when God, like Elvis, has left the building. A list of instructions where there was once conviction; dogma where once people just did it; a congregation led by a man where once they were led by the Holy Spirit. Discipline replacing discipleship."
Bono in a March 2004 interview.

Re: Religion

RELIGION literally means a SEARCH FOR GOD. Those not searching, who found Him, cannot be in religion! We are in KINGDOM, I think.

Re: Religion

"Religon" has become a buzz word for something nasty and unclean. Its a pity thats happened.

At Clifton Gorge Natural Area Yellow Springs Ohio far back on the trail is a statue. I cant remember the mans name who it was honoring but I remember that something like this is written on it.

"He loved the beautiful religon of Jesus Christ".

Im pretty sure the man lived in the 18th century.

How times have changed.
