20 states sue against Obamascare
PENSACOLA, Florida -- The Obama administration will try to persuade a federal judge Tuesday to throw out a lawsuit by 20 states that claim the president's health care overhaul is unconstitutional.
It is unconstitutional for the government to force people to buy insurance.

We don't get forced to buy a car or take a job.
It sould be infront of the supreme court about the time 2012 rolls around. The socialist restribution of wealth in this scheme is obvious.

Re: 20 states sue against Obamascare
My husband works for a medical center. Medical centers and hospitals are worried about the costs of this. My husband says it will put many out of business.
They already get paid little per dollar of care for medicare and medicaid patients. Basically, the middle class (again) is paying for this above and beyond taxes because the hospitals have to raise prices to make up for the paltry sum the government gives them per medicare/medicaid patient they have. ( An example would be perhaps getting $18.00 from the government for every $100.00 in care or somesuch like that....wish I could remember exact figures.)
Healthcare for all would be great. Especially if we weren't already bankrupt.

I saw a note on a vending machine that due to the health care change they have to raise their prices, but has it even started yet?

Hospitals will get their reimbursement lowered. Obama care also will force the state to cover certain care and the feds will of course give them less money than the state pays. When the states start paying for care, the states will lose billions.

Why?
With that argument, we would have to do away with auto insurance as well. That's not the society that we need.

Don't think auto insurance is a good comaprison because when driving you have the potential to cause damage to anothers property or self.

Are we forced to buy car insurance?
In Ohio when you renew your license you have to sign a form saying you have insurance or you can post bond or something like that.
Also, is it unconstitutional for a state to force you to purchase something or it is unconstitutional for the federal government to force you to purchase something, or does that apply equally at the state and federal levels?

You do not have to insure your self. You need to cover people you hit. \
People without cars don't have to buy insurance.

However, the argument that some are trying to make is that it is unconstitutional for the government to force its citizens to purchase insurance. So, if the law is overturned on this logic, why couldn't the same logic be applied to all insurance in America?
I guess if you think about it, no one needs to purchase auto insurance or health insuarance. Just don't get into an accident and just don't get sick and you'll be fine.
Insurance is such a waste of money. Who needs stinking insurance?!

You do not get it. You don't get it. My children don't have car insurance.
My dad doesn't. You are not a logical thinker. My insurance will go up so it can cover children over age 21. My car insurance isn't required to cover them.
My car insurance allows me to add coverage for my collisions. It doesn't have a requirement to cover previous accidents. We don't have to have repair coverage for cars. That is what health insurance coverage is.
Socialists don't read or understand laws.
