Psychology... is it wicked?

As a psychologist and a minister I often find myself torn in debates... I err on the side of what is right not taking sides. I often find that the religious community is uninformed on the issue of what psychological science consists of...

Can we discuss our views and what we know... I will even partake in questions and answers for those who feel the need.

There are lots of things I don't agree with in reference to psychology, but much of it is misconstrued or misunderstood by many, especially religious folks.

Mental diseases and illnesses and their pathophysiologies. Most people in Apostolic churches seem to believe that the devil is the only reason why those problems exist.

They don't understand that the brain can be as sick as the heart or pancreas or kidneys.

People do get very polarized on this issue. I think there is a lot that people can learn from psychology. Within reason, of course.

Psychotherapy and counseling are not the same...

Not all counselors.... even most counselors are not Freudian they are mostly cognitive-behavioral.

Chan you are very ignorant in saying that....

Calvanism is a wicked deviation of the truth... don't make personal attacks.
