Elder g.a.mangun's homegoing service on dvd
For your information:
I wasn't able to view Elder G.A. Mangun's Homegoing
Service due to so many trying to view it online. Was able
to see some of the first album early one Sat. morning.
Just enough to know I wanted to see it all!
This Homegoing Service is now available from White Steeple
Bookstore. I called Vickie at (318)487-8997 and
there is also a (888)443-2113 number.
Ordered Tues and received them today, Friday.

Re: Elder g.a.mangun's homegoing service on dvd
The Bishop's home going service was long but very inspiring. A lot of personal information about his life was shared and I really enjoyed the clips from some of his past sermons! His prayer life, his hunger for soul winning, and dedication to missions giving are a testimony to the great church in Alexandria today! Well worth the watch!

Re: Elder g.a.mangun's homegoing service on dvd
Of the little of the Homegoing I was able to view online, I was so
touched by the retired Baptist minister who spoke about Elder
Mangun, with such a sweet spirit. The Mangun's were at a restaurant
and Elder Mangun got up and headed toward the front. On his way,
a retired Baptist minister was sitting, and as Elder Mangun was about
to pass, the Baptist minister stood and held out his hand and said "Bro.
Mangun, I am ___". To which Bro Mangun replied, "I know who you are".
After exchanging a few words, as Bro. Mangun started to leave, he told
the Baptist minister, "Thank you for stopping me. It means more than
you know". What a precious spirit of exchange of two elderly ministers.
This happened about five or six months before Elder Mangun's departure.
Although they do not agree in their beliefs, what respect was shown.
Elder Mangun has gone and the Baptist minister mentioned that his days
here would not be long.
Elder Bro. G.A. Mangun, I am sure left many good witnesses in the city of
Alexandria, LA. Many, many years of labour with his faithful wife and others.
What will we leave behind and what will people say of our lives when
it comes our time to leave this world!
WHAT WILL JESUS SAY!
Just some thoughts,

Br. Mangun homegoing service was one of the most inspiring services I have ever watched. It was a true testament of his life. I would recommend it to anyone.

Bella1,
Sorry, I don't have any updates on Sis. Vesta. She looked to
be doing quite well on the DVD's. We live in Texas and all
I know has been what I saw posted on their wedsite during
Elder Mangun's last days and passing, and on the DVD's.
Hugs,
