There are exceptions to everything!! Surely you will admit that this church is the exception?
Most communities have enough people looking for extreme structure to allow ultra con churches to grow to two or three hundred and then they stall.
Who knows why this church is the exception. For one thing it is in the Bible Belt and in a fairly large metropolitan area in the Bible Belt.
No doubt the pastor has done a good job also or the church would not be this successful. It takes great people and management skills to nurture a group of people and grow a church this large.
While I do not agree with much of what this church does I have heard many good things about the pastor and church.
Someday I hope to visit.

I agree CC1
I am curious as to who said that conservative churches cannot be large.
Consider, the church is pastored by a unique individual with a unique mission, however, I would bet my house that he couldn't accomplish the same thing in other parts of the nation.
The conservatives say that large churches outside the UPC/conservative realm are large due to a message of compromise, however the opposite could be true. Maybe there are more folks in Arkansas that are in need of a regimented, controled structure and a socially conservative group is exactly what they need to keep themselves sane and out of trouble with the law.
