Ladies, I have a question

Getting my daughter's baby shower together, I'm using well over 130 roses. These are the cream Carolina roses at Hobby Lobby. Gorgeous! You can't tell they are not real!

I've pulled all of the leaves off and have a tub full of rose leaves. I can't think of anything I would do with them. Should I throw them away? Could they be used in Sunday School, etc., etc.?

Just checking before I trash them. I'm not a collector or a hoarder. I don't keep anything I'm not going to use.

Any ideas?

TIA!

Well...you could hot glue them to foam balls and make topiaries? I don't know....

You could just put them in ziplocs and put the in the SS storage closet--I have used loose leaves for things before, to add texture to walls, etc.

Oh my gosh!!! I didn't think of that - topiaries!!!! Perfect!!! That would look great for centerpieces and I have plenty!!! I went to make sure the leaves looked as real as the roses and they look pretty real. Of course, better than the Walmart looking flowers - ick! LOL!

I hate making topairies. I hate styrofoam!! But, I will keep them for that!!

Thanks, Abi!!!

I will tell the SS teachers if they ever need any, I have them. But, I'm not going to store them at church. I might need them.

Re: Ladies, I have a question

Now my mind is rolling with other ideas.

You could also buy the appropriate sized gift boxes (for a vase), glue leaves to that and put together whatever arrangement you want in the box. You could build the arrangement into clay or real dirt, if the flowers are real. Then you could spread (depending on theme) a pretty moss, glass pieces, whimsical filler, etc., to cover the clay/dirt.

Yep - love Miss B's idea.

I have seen vases with the leaves on them too.

I'm not a lady, but if I may, if you have any upcoming weddings they are great for the flower girls to drop and even to spread along the isle runner. Churches are always having weddings you know.

Showing the feminine side, huh? LOL! I think you are thinking of rose petals. I've never seen them throw down the leaves.

I could also use them as a table runner and then place the centerpieces on them. Now that would be pretty. I have a zillion leaves! LOL!
