Is justice a virtue?

Is being "just" a good thing? And is God's justice a really, really good thing? Way better than any justice we humans could mete out, even among the best of our judges and juries? Do you love God's justice?

Interesting question. I think I'd have to say no. Being merciful is not just. It is circumventing justice, actually. IMO.

And that is where I would disagree. I believe there are times when it is just to show mercy.

To answer one of your questions, Timmy, I believe God's justice is a good thing.

Herein lies the age old question. Is God just or is he merciful? But why can't he be both? Justice demands a price for sin, but didn't Jesus Christ fulfill that price by going to Calvary and paying the price so that we shouldn't have to pay it ourselves? That's why I love God's justice, because He showed the ultimate mercy by dying for our sins.
