One of my sons was feeling like he couldn't please God because he struggled with some temptations. We discussed some of the biblical "failures". God certainly can and does use imperfect people!

I think the scripture says Leah was "tender eyed" or something like that. which interpreted means cross eyed, I've heard. not sure of the exact scripture or interpretation. but I know I've heard something similar before.

"Tender-eyed", yes. The implication was that her eyes were not particularly attractive or not a strong point of her looks. But that doesn't mean she was ugly. But as we know, one can get the bible to say anything one wants, if one wants badly enough!
And I just noticed something else....Samson was a "womanizer??" Where does that come from? He had an unfortunate situation that involved a woman, but here he was called a "womanizer"? That's quite a stretch. And it's mentioned that he had long hair as a detriment?? Huh?? That was where his strength came from (which evidently is why I'm so strong!). And who says Timothy was "too young"?? This list is losing credibility by the minute. Zacchaeus was "too small"? Has anyone ever seriously doubted God would use them because they were short? And Prax has already mentioned the "Noah-drunkard" thing.
But oh well, the point is, God can use anyone, which I certainly agree with!!

It is amazing that a guy climbing a tree to see over a crowd of people has relegated him to being "small". Granted, in those days small was probably being under 4'11.

Don't shoot the messenger, just passing along an email Although some are stretches, I did think that the overall message was a good one.
