I was looking at the photo gallery of The Rock Church in Elk Grove, and saw you at the organ...must have been No Limits, eh?!

No we didn't...my godbrother was there. His daughter is in the chorale.
How did you like the church...how was the sound?! It's so hard for new buildings to get a right mix right away...

we both sang at the music conference at CLC.
The sound system there was hard to overcome. it's so controlled.
the sound at the Rock was okay. thing is, if you don't bring your ear buds these days, you are in trouble. I was backing up my pastor. I thought he was going to sing but he didn't end up singing after all. they don't crank their organ like i'm use to many churches now have their Leslies surrounded by plexi glass or turned down to a bare minimum.

I agree. The only excuse for that would be an auditorium too big for the leslies to handle.
I think it is a matter of control. Most modern sound guys want total control over the mix and if the organist controls the leslies the sound guy loses that control.
My church has great music but the B3 is way too far down in the mix for my taste.

Don't forget I love a jammin' B3 with the leslies cranked up playing some good funky black gospel.
I am just under no illusion that it is the Holy Ghost making me want to move!!!
(I thought it was just funny that one of the ladies called you "my darling boy" so I thought I would adopt everything but the "my" lest anyone get the wrong idea!!!!)
