Question Mobile, Alabama

Scott, I know that you are from near the Mobile, Alabama area. Anyone else on here from that region?

There is a pretty good chance that my mom and I might be headed to Fairhope soon. We'll arrive Friday, September 4th, go to a 50th Wedding Anniversary party on the 5th and head for home on the 6th. So it will be a very quick trip. But I would be thrilled to get to meet as many of you as possible if we end up going for sure.

Fairhope. That reminds me: there was a town (now absorbed by another city) near here called "New Hope". We drive by "New Hope Cemetery" all the time. My favorite cemetery name of all time!

If you're driving, what interstates or main highways will you be traveling? Maybe there are some of us along the route you're traveling that could meet you for coffee or something...

Tina, I'm in the process right now of planning my route. It's looking like I will be going thru Louisville.
Let me print it out and then I'll get back on and let you know.

Re: Mobile, Alabama

ok, here's the route,
we'll be taking
I-75 to Dayton, then I-71 to Louisville
we'll jump on 2-264 for 10 miles, where we'll catch I-65 toward Nashville
from there we'll make our way to Huntsville.
from there it'll be AL-287 to Fairhope.
I THINK.

from the best I can see, we'll go thru Louisville, Nashville, Birmingham, and Montgomery.

We'll be looking for reasonably priced hotels along the way so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

I'd love to meet anyone that I can fit into our schedule, even if it's only for a quick cup of coffee.

Timmy, there is a New Hope Cemetery about 5 miles from my house. You don't live in East TX do you?
