Setting Up Outlook With 2 Different Carriers

I have a problem.

I used to live in an area where we had bellsouth.net as our ISP and we had bellsouth.net email addresses. My families addresses were actually set up under my father in laws business account before we moved there so, when we moved, we still have our Bellsouth.net address. These are, by far, our primary addresses.

We have kept them now for over a year and intend on keeping them indefinitely but we cannot send emails from Outlook.

We have to send email over the bellsouth.net webmail application.

I have put bellsouth as my outgoing server.
I have put my current ISP as my outgoing server.

Nothing seems to work.

I receive emails just fine... but then when I hit reply and then send nothing ever happens.

Can anyone help?

Re: Setting Up Outlook With 2 Different Carriers

Actually I have made some progress now.

Instead of the old mail.bellsouth.net smtp server I was supposed to be using smtp.att.yahoo.com.

It now attempts the send and asks for my password. I am entering the correct password but it returns with a failed password message

Dunno... crazy stuff.

Check to make sure your POP/SMTP servers don't require SSL encryption. You might need to change the ports (Advanced Settings).

I don't have DSL, and Outlook Express works best for me. You are able to do so much without being logged on.
