Woohoo!!! Broke our record this AM!

We had 818 in the house this morning! That's counting by name, not head counts. We were so excited, because God has been so good to us here!! These people are AMAZING and I'm so thankful to the Lord for sending us here. This morning, a man in his 30's was handing out bulletins at the sanctuary door and I asked him, "Joe, a year ago, would you have ever thought you'd be standing in church and doing ANYTHING??" He's one of our miracles from last year, whose life was just totally turned upside down by God! I love it!

Sherri that's awesome!

Deacon said we had the second highest Easter this morning since he's been there - it was good!

Oh I forgot, we also baptized a deaf teenage boy this morning. He and his family came for months before I knew he was deaf because he's such a good lip reader. What a sweet teen!

Great report Sherri. I am really aggravated at my church. It is crazy for us not to have a third service added for Easter since on normal Sunday's we are completely full and a bazillion people visit CC for Easter.

We got to church about fifteen minutes before the second service time and they had already closed the main floor and balcony and were directing people to the overflow locations.

We watched the service on a big screen along with about 300-400 other people in the Wallace Chapel. I understand that the Martha Scott room was full aso.

There is no telling how many people were turned away. It has been this way for several years now so it is not like this is a big shock. They do have a 6:15 am outside sunrise service at the graveyard but since it was about 20 degrees this morning only about a hundred folks showed up for that.

To be blessed with so many visitors and not acccomodate them better is beyond me.

That surprises me; they are normally such good planners. Maybe The Elder is still in Honeymoon Phase. LOL! We had three services, but we do that every Sunday now. However, today they were all full and running over. Good feeling!

It has been this way for several years. I am just baffled. I know a third service would be a lot of work and a pain but to not do it is just nuts.

They really need the third servie every Sunday or offer a Saturday night alternative to Sunday Service for folks who work Sunday's. We have been full for years every Sunday. Back before Stan imploded he had been wanting to do the Saturday night thing.

I know!! I said something to Zac at dinner today about Aaron being deaf and he's in the youth group with him and didn't even know it. He just said that he thought he always talked really loud. Ha!
