Re: Yoga: Is it ok for Christians to practice?

My daughter was in grade 3 & the teacher brought in a Yoga instructor, my daughter & another girl sat out & read books while the kids practiced Yoga (Demon Worship)!

All of the postures of Yoga cause one to imitate a Hindi deity.

Not gonna happen in our family!

I did Itsy Bitsy Yoga with my daughter. I do think one needs to be careful and a lot probably depends on the instructor.

Re: Yoga: Is it ok for Christians to practice?

My wife did yoga when pregnant before he auto accident. There were things that she did not fill comfortable doing that she thought were out of the ordinary for a Christian, but she simply did not do it. Ron talked about it being demon worship and I think that is a LONG stretch. In the Bible the highplaces were not always a bad place, but had become perverted through time. But the prophet that anointed David lived in the highplaces at a time when it suppose to be a bad place. Look you can take anything and try to put a spin on it in a negative light or positive one. Ron says not in his family and that is his choice and I commend him for making a choice.

If one tries it and doesn't feel comfortable doing it then don't, IMO.

I couldn't personally take part in it; something about it just doesn't feel right. I've learned to go with my instincts.

Is Pilates a form of yoga? I know lots of Christians who do Pilates.
