I get this weird twitching in my head, like around my temples and behind my ears. It's like a muscle is twitching. It doesn't hurt and the twitching comes and goes all hours of the day.
It's a bit scary. Has anyone else experienced this or know someone who has?
What's the deal with this?

I've had a twitch around my eyes a few times. Once it had been happening for about a week and I was at a dermatologist office, so I asked her about it. She said it was common and to just leave it alone and it would go away by itself. Within a few days, it was gone. I don't understand how that works. HO could possibly tell us.

Could be stress related.
Could be related to TMJ.
Lots of reasons actually.
From some of the related discussions I found medical discussion forums & websites when I googled the subject--you probably should see a doctor.
I looked up TMJ and am convinced that this has nothing to do with that because I don't have any of the other other symptoms related to TMJ.
I got real concerned when I thought there was a connection between this and ALS-- but again, I don't think that's what's going on here either.
Thanks for googling it. I did so too and was hoping I'd find someone on here who had experienced this and could tell me simply, "Oh yeah, I know what that is-- don't worry about it!"
I went to the DR's about it when I first got back from Iraq-- I thought it was high blood pressure or something. It wasn't that and they couldn't tell me what was going on, but I didn't follow up as I was out of town (in WVA) and when I got back home, it wasn't happening any more.
