The Great Republican Hope
... but for 2012?
I don't think so.
Now, Obama could fall on his face but really, the economy has nowhere to go but up.
I think Barack Obama will be as unbeatable in 2012 as John F. Kennedy would have been in 1964.
If the Republican National Committee is smart (I wonder) and if Jindal is smart (I believe he is) then the GOP will save their up and coming shining star for 2016.

I'm looking forward to change, but like all change it's going to be tough! GWB left a nightmare for years to come. Damage control is what we are going to have for a very long time!

Not that I personally care, but Jindal is converted from Hinduism to Roman Catholicism.
Of course, I realize being a Catholic is probably still not good enough for a lot of neocons. 
But hey, the Republican party is in pretty bad shape right now - to pick up the pieces, they are going to have to quit pandering to the radical religious right.
And hey, I'm sure they can assign a Truth Squad to him so he doesn't backslide into Hinduism again.

Up is all it ever did have to go, even under McCain. Dems were as much to blame...they just have more control over what the media tells us.
And they didn't get us out of Iraq as promised...why? They vote spending bills and Bush approves and Bush gets blamed for our debt...why?
