Sunday School kids say/do the funniest things!

Share your stories!

Today we were going over Peter and John at the gate Beautiful and how they were put in hold and dragged the next day to the counsel.

I never just read the Bible stories. They have to dress up in costumes and act the whole thing out.

We had three boys that wanted to put the girls in hold! lol

One of the boys turns the girl around and begins to tie her hands. He then proceeds to read the whole Miranda Act to her!

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney, and to have an attorney present during any questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be provided for you at government expense."

I think this boy watches too much t.v.!!!!

A couple of weeks ago Dan Scott told this story about his little granddaugher. I think she is three. She calls him "Abba".

On a Saturday morning Dan had slept in and was slowly getting going by making a pot of coffee in the kitchen. His little granddaugher came in and said "Abba, get ready I want to go to the bookstore and get a book about Abraham!!".

Of course Dan was thrilled and was thinking to himself what a spiritual little angel he had for a granddaughter.

However the instant they walked in the bookstore she said very brightly "I think I will wait till next time to get a book about Abraham. I think I will get a book about Prinecess'es! today"

When I was teaching 3 and 4 year old Sunday School- We were taking prayer requests and TJ requested prayer so he could catch lizards like his best friend John!!!!!!!! We prayed for him but I do not know if God answered!

God probably did answer it!

We had a boy come in with "Sponge Bob Square Pants" tattoos on his arms! What a man!!! He said he had one on his back too!

This reminds me of the time my then-5 y.o. daughter went on a field trip for school - it was supposed to be raining the whole day; however, it ended up being very warm & sunny... When she got home, I said, "How great that Jesus gave you such a sunny day for your field trip," and she responded, "Of COURSE He did. I TOLD Jesus it was going to be sunny today."

LOL! You reminded me of the time my daughter was getting a vaccine and I told her to pray. After the needle came out she turned to me and said, "Why did you tell me to pray? It didn't help me at all!!!" LOL! I was just trying to get her to divert her attention away from the nurse.

Many years ago I taught the 5 & 6 year old class at our church. Each week, I would go and pick up my cousin, who was 4 at the time, on Saturday. I'd take her shopping with me and while we were out, I'd practice telling her my SS lesson. One day I told her about David and Goliath. When I took her home, she ran into the house and up to her mom and started telling her all about this story that Aunt Margie had told her about a guy and he killed a great big guy and he only used a little bitty stone and........... and my aunt said to her, "Oh, you're talking about David and Goliath." Angel stopped right in the middle of what she saying, put her hands on her hips, stomped her foot at her mom and said loudly, "You mean you've known about this all this time and you've never told me?" She was HOT!!! Refused to talk to her mom the rest of the day!!

hhehehe Out of the mouths of babes, I said.....

One of my daycare kids was looking out my front window one day. I stopped to see what she was doing. She didn't even turn and look at me. She just kept looking out and said, "Watch those trees. They're waving at God and saying 'Hey, God. We love you' ".

What do you say when they say something like that? I just agreed with her and wiped my tears.
