Dewey had been ahead in the polls with a double-digit lead, but the polling missed a swing in opinion that led to a Truman victory.

Could we see another egg-on-your-face moment for the media? It's happened more than once.

A pastor from the states called me this afternoon so worried about the election and our country. Whoever gets it sure will have lots of problems to worry about...

This is being called the year the media died, and for good reason in my opinion. You've never seen an altar call like this before, with so many high-profile people surging forward hoping to assuage their white guilt.

They're supposed to report the news and facts, but instead they share their opinion in an effort to shape yours.

But I suppose that they wouldn't do it if they didn't think it would work. Remember, those National Enquirer and People magazines wouldn't be on the checkout line racks if they didn't sell . . . .
