Upcoming Missions Trips
I am going to the Philippines with Eddie in July (leaving on my 29th anniversary) to visit our Love and Truth pastors over there. We have sent people over before, but Eddie and I have never made the trip. They are really excited to finally meet Eddie, since he is their overseer. We will have our 7th annual Love and Truth Philippines pastor's conference while we are over there! I can't wait. I was so sad that we weren't going back to Kenya this year, so this will have to suffice!! I'm sure I will fall in love with these people too. They are poor, but it's not nearly as remote as Kenya.
It is a dangerous island (Mindanao) though, so please remember to be praying for our safety. This is the island where the kidnappings have taken place, as well as several bombings by their Filipino Al Queda group. I know God will take care of us, but we would love prayer covering. I will post more as it gets closer.
We do get to spend three nights in Hong Kong on the way back (where are you Felicity???). I need ideas of where to go.
Also, in September, I am going with about 25 people from our church on a work trip to San Pedro, Costa Rica to the orphanage where Ashley worked for a year. We are helping to build the third dormitory. I'm sure I'll just be mainly toting water and carrying around people's tools. I'm not real good at construction!! It will be a tiring, but exciting trip.
I love foreign cultures and I love to travel!!!

We have 2 girls from my church going to Guatemala this summer on a mission trip with "shoes for orphans" I think that is the name of the org.
They are looking forward to it.

Let me know if you do anything exciting there. I don't know anything about Hong Kong!

Sherri, This sounds interesting and exciting. We have traveled some, and my wife has a dream/vision of taking some medical missions trips in the future. She is an RN. I have a strong back so I could carry water and perhaps use some of my EMT skills.
