What can you tell me about Ron Paul?
Walt made the comment tonight at supper that he is so disgusted with both Obama AND McCain that he is almost tempted to vote for Ron Paul.
I want to know more about Ron Paul now that the subject has come up. Just curious. Do any of you know anything at all about what he stands for?

I don't think he is even on the ballot.

As mentioned, He is a strict Originalist Constitutionalist. Which is why the main stream media and politicians misrepresented his views.
He loves this country as it was original intended to be. Heavy on individual rights and resposibilities and minimal government interferrance in the lives of the people.
Even if he were to become President (not on the ballet) if we did not replace our Congress (both houses) they could and would stop him from implementing sound policies.

Just stay home then. If you can't even get on the ballot what is the point?
(and I supported Pat Buchanan)

Re: What can you tell me about Ron Paul?
well no one would listen to him in the beginning and thats why he won't be on the ballot..........he tried for americans and they all laughed....not so funny now ,is he.......he was our only hope...hope you're into socialism ..its coming!
do what they want you to do pick one of the two chosen candidates,lol............instead of voting for the best possible choice that was presented to you....thats exactly what our founding fathers had in mind, wasn't it?

As much as I liked what I had read about Ron Paul, A write in vote is basically a wasted vote.

I couldn't get a grasp on his foreign policy. Otherwise, I'm glad we vote him in over and over to represent us in Washington! He votes no on every bill that doesn't line up with the Constitution. "Dr. No!"
