We are back in the hospital. Jack had another episode of Tachycardia last night.
This has been our 7th emergency room visit, and including the month he spent in the hospital at birth, this is the 6th hospital stay.
many of you know that we came to the hospital 2 weeks ago to change his meds to a very strong heart rythem medicine.
we went home last thrusday. We got home at 5pm and at 9 pm, we were on our way back to the emergency room. He had gone back into tachycardia.
after he cleared, the dr sent us home with instructions on changing his dosage of the amnioterone (sp) and hoping that would work.
It didnt. Last night he went back into tachycardia. This time he looked distressed. most of the times before, he remains pink and doesnt look like he is having any trouble. This time it was different. he was blue around the mouth and not very active.
we rushed to Medical city Childrens hospital as they are very pretty close and have experience with babies like Jack.
It took an hour for them to get an IV started. The Dr. even tried to put on in his neck and that failed. finally they got a line in and were able to stop the tachycardia with medication.
After that they transferd him to Cooks Childrens in Ft. Worth. This is where his doctor is.
I came with him last night and sent Mrs. Ferd home so she could rest good and pack to stay with him. They are saying that he will be here for the rest of the week. Mrs. Ferd is still exhausted from the 9 days they were here just last week, so this is going to be hard.
Levi, our 3 year old have a bad cold and wants mommy to stay with him. He doesnt want his baby brother to be sick anymore. This is all been pretty hard on him but he really is a great big brother.
The Drs. have added a second drug to what Jack is now taking, and at this point we are running out of drugs to try to control his heart. I think there may be one or two more and that is all.... 4 different drugs in 5 different combinations have failed thus far.
Thank you all for praying with us so many times in these 3 months. please keep us in your prayer. we really are going thru it. But as bad as it has been, God has been with us and we continue to trust Him. We are reminded every time we go to the hospital how bad it could be....

Jesus, I pray you would stabilize Jack's heart. Comfort his mother and father. I pray for victory in this trial. We lift up our hearts and our hands knowing that you are the creator of our lives. In you we abide. In you we trust!
Ferd, I was just about to PM you and ask how Jack was doing when I saw this thread. I have been gone for a few days and he was on my mind. I will definitely be praying for him and your family.
God Bless

Almighty God,
We humbly ask again (we're still knocking, Lord), that You would give divine
wisdom to this family. Lead and direct them to the physican, hospital or other,
that would be a source that has the expertise and knowledge to do what little
Jack needs, in Jesus Name. Lord God, we know You are the True source of ALL
that we need, but You also use trained men and women to do what their hands
are trained to do. If they are in the best place, with the best physican for this
need, give these parents peace and give the medical people the wisdom to
do what needs to be done, in Jesus Name. Otherwise work it out for there
to be a transfer to a better place, in Jesus Name. A place where He can get
better!
