Is there somewhere on the net I can find out in what year someone was born?

Pretty doubtful then. Most states have a method of searching Vital Statistics. And the Social Security office has a death records search. But as far as I know, there is no national birth records compilation.

Sister, if you know the State the person currently lives in, you could try www.peoplefinders.com That is the site I used to track down my son's family. For $3 I got a report with their name, address, phone number, and date of birth.
