Gov. Tim Kaine High On Obama's VP Short List:

It's been reported by several press outlets that Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine may be considered by Obama for a VP spot on the General Election ticket. The interesting thing about this is that Gov. Tim Kaine is a devout Catholic and Pro-Life Democrat. Obama claims that he is the candidate of "change"...would picking Gov. Tim Kaine and winning the election open doors of change in the Democratic Party by opening the doors in higher offices for future Pro-Life Democrats?

Only time will tell, Aquila. My opinion is that neither party is going to change its position on abortion.


On another note, I am very excited that Evan Bayh is also on the short list for the VP spot.

I agree Rico.

I don't think parties will change their positions on abortion...I think an individual's position and tactic is far more important than "party position". I find it encouraging that more Pro-Life Democrats are advancing in the Democratic party.

I'm hearing rumors that Pro-Life Democrat Bob Casey might be speaking at the Democratic Convention. His father wasn't allowed to speak at a Democratic Convention years ago. We'll have to see.

Things could be changing in a little in the Democratic Party.
