Have Liberals Lost The Fear of God
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Have we been worshipping too long at the altar of "God is Love" and "we are saved by grace alone" to be impacted by the fear of God and a message of holiness and separation from the world?
disclaimer: I am a self professed moderate and don't believe in either extreme, though I tend to lean con.

I don't "worship at the altar of "God is Love" and "we are saved by grace alone" so I wouldnt' know.
I would suggest you are posting about a made up stereotype from your mind.
Your post is like a lib stupidly saying all conservatives practicing coroprate legalism are pastored by men who are power hungry and want to "lord over the saints". There may be a few but the maojrity don't fit that bill. Most are God loving and people loving folks.
Same with your thesis. There may be a few but not many and I am betting not the ones you think are.

I would take it a step further and say that most all (and I would assume in the 90% range) have lost their fear of the Lord.
Those to whom you would refer to as conservative are typically just legalistic, who themselves trust in rules rather than a godly lifestyle.

I do agree, that the majority of people in our nation, whether liberal, conservative, Christian or not, have lost their healthy fear of God and the fruits of that are shown in our society. There's no denying that, however, it's very narrow to focus that statement on liberals. Brother, I am a liberal, when it comes to so-called Holiness Standards. I haven't always been, but God finally revealed to me that those ritualistic, legalistic, man-made rules and regulations could not make me holy and they certainly didn't make me pleasing to Him. You cannot earn acceptance with God through a dress code or following the rules of men. You freely receive His favor and acceptance through repentance (A true turning from sin - Real Sin, Not A Conservative's Rules) and real faith in the work of Jesus Christ on our behalf through His life, death, burial and resurrection. He did there for us what we couldn't do for ourselves. If you could've earned God's acceptance through following rules, then Christ came for nothing.
Anyway, my point is this, even the term Fear has been misconstrued by conservatives. If you are lost and on your way to hell, then you should fear the Lord, as in being afraid of Him. We know that judgement for the lost is going to be terrible. However, if you are one of His children, that term fear is in a different context. I don't fear God today, as in I'm constantly walking around looking over my shoulder thinking that He's mad at me and wanting to bust my chops, but my fear of Him is a reverence and an awesome respect for who He is. And it's too bad that many UC's don't really understand the "Love" of God...
