Hello...
I've been reading threads on your forums for a couple of weeks now. I finally decided to register.
My name is Amy. I am married and we have 3 children who are 9yrs, 7.5yrs and 6.5yrs old. I'm an RN and my husband is an airplane mechanic.
I was raised in a UPC church and stopped going shortly before I got married. Due to circumstance in our lives, my husband and I have both come to the decision that God needs to be a more central focus in our lives. As a result, we are now attending the same church I grew up in, as he was raised in a home that I think is best described as "Agnostic". The church is now pastored by a different man than the one who was there when I left. While I still believe in many things that the UPC, as an organization, teaches, there are things with which I do not agree. However, I think that would be the case with any denomination that one chooses to attend. There will always be points where one's interpretation differs from another's interpretation. That's where prayer and study of the Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide your heart come in.
