Awesome service with Zoe Girl today!!!
We were blessed to have Alisa Childers, formerly of Zoegirl, with us this morning in both services! Some of you will probably remember Zoegirl who disbanded almost 2 yrs ago. They had a great ministry to young girls. Well, the girls split up to have families. Alisa, whose dad is Chuck Girard, ministered humbly, powerfully and sang with great "anointing." She ministered for 45 min and it was awesome. It is a joy to have great music artists who are not arrogant and full of themselves. Alisa and her husband, Mike, who is a studio musician, live in Franklin, TN. Hello.........any here live in Franklin?
Alisa & Mike came on a love offering basis and want to be a blessing to churches. I'll try to post a video clip later!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Awesome service with Zoe Girl today!!!
I had no idea that Chuck Girard was her dad! The very first date Eddie and I had was to go hear Chuck Girard at Mississippi College when we were going to JCM. We didn't ask if we could go, because the answer would have probably been "NO". Sometimes it's better not to know!

So true! At ABI, we would never have been allowed to attend those heretical "trinnie" concerts! Bro. Norris would have had a fit! Chuck Girard is still doing concerts!

Now Sherri, you know good and well the Bible College admin would just have been trying to save you from some traumatizing experience like those JCMers had who went to the Hawkins concert and saw Tramaine have a wardrobe malfunction 30 years before Janet Jackson's!!!!
(In fairness to Tramaine she did grab the wardrobe that malfunctioned just before exposing herself)
LOL!!! (Doesn't it seem crazy now that you had to sneak off to hear Christian Musical groups?)

I loved ZoeGirl...didn't know they disbanded...how sad. I liked the name of their band so much that I named my latest addition "Zoe" after them. Glad to hear your service was such a blessing! I think I'm almost persuaded to move where ya'll are as well...almost.
I'm so glad you think outside the box!

My "fake" grandaughter, the one year old my wife has been a nanny to since she was 10 weeks old, is named "Zoe".
