Just thought I would share an unusual experience I had this past week.
My inlaws were here from Alabama and as what usually happens when you have company and plan outdoor things it RAINS!
Well it rain several evenings in a row, but not enough to affect my husband and his brother playing golf EVERY DAY!
Anyway, after a couple of days raining the ground was soaking and I looked out in my backyard and crawdads was a walking in my yard!
So I didn't want to deal with them towers they build and turn hard as cement and dulls my mower blade, so I got my husband and we went outside and I would hold the bucket and he would put them in there until it started raining again and we had to go back in.
Next day, my SIL suggested I use tongs to pick them up since I was not to crazy about trying to pick them up without getting pinched. Tongs works great!
Never in my life have I seen crawdads just crawlying across a yard! Neither had she, so she got some tongs and rolled up her jeans and got out there with me picking up crawdads until it started raining AGAIN!
Saved a lot of towers being built. Unfortunately, we didn't get to the front yard or side and you can tell it!
My SIL said shes never seen a yard moving before.
