Does this statement bother anyone when it is said from the pulpit or elsewhere?
I am just curious because to me it seems like bragging and furthermore, it also seems like it is somehow inside information only for those who are ON the inside...
You may THINK you know Jesus, but I know who Jesus REALLY is.
If you REALLY know who Jesus is, you wouldn't be bragging.
I don't like this statement, why glorify the flesh instead of the Lord Jesus?

I think I see what you're saying, but I'm still really glad I know who Jesus is. When I say that (and I do say it, all the time) it's not said in a bragging way... it's said in a completely thankful that I know Him way.
I'm even more thankful He knows me!

Carp, when I look at my life BEFORE Jesus, I'm glad I know Him and I'm learning of Him more and more every day!
But I think you don't like the "REALLY" part in I'm Glad I Know who Jesus REALLY is!! like they have a special revelation of who Jesus us and are bragging or boasting about it.

I understand what you are saying, Bro. And, in a sense, it does seem to be bragging ( guess that would depend on the context in which it is spoken/
I'm glad to know who Jesus is, but I'm doubly glad Jesus knows who I am!

Well, I think the REALLY part comes from countering the Charasmatic statement that they know Jesus.
Our response to that is I am glad I know who he REALLY is.
I am glad Jesus knows me. I am so glad I know him too.
I don't believe we need to propagandize our knowledge of him to communicate to others or THAT others are in error. Just say they are in error with out having to brag about it.

It matters where you put the "really" in the sentence.
It matters where you put the "really" in the sentence.
REALLY, I'm glad that I know who Jesus is!
I'm REALLY glad that I know who Jesus is!
I'm glad that I REALLY know who Jesus is!
I'm glad that I know REALLY who Jesus is!
I'm glad that I know who Jesus REALLY is!
I'm glad that I know who Jesus is! REALLY!
Something wrong with that one too.
