Expansion of the Universe Discussion

Anyone in here know anything about physics or expansion theory?

This is the thread to discuss the Big Bang and it's counterparts!

Cause it was good for expanding the universe. At least the one I lived in anyway.

How does evolution explain the Big Bang? I cannot see how it does frankly.

Me either, I can see how one could extrapolate evolution as it would be a means to an end from big bang, but I don't see it as the other way around.

Honestly that argument doesn't hold its weight at the lunch tables though.

In this regards, I have always thought that our current data is basically a finite portrait of the steps or the chain of events that unfolded when what is and was came into being.

I agree, we have the Bible and assumptions.

Does the Bibles account of creation rule out the idea of a big bang?

Keep in mind I am not suggesting that creation is wrong, I am asking if there is any possibility that the big bang was built into creation in the same sense evolution may have been?

We know the universe is expanding, so why is wrong to make the assumption it was God's intention?

Im not "physics" minded or "Astro Phycics" however the idea of a universe that is still expanding or not is interesting. I have always thought it would be interesting if the Universe began to collapse back on itself into that "singularity" and then started all over again.

Then again considering there are other theories to replace the big bang now Im not sure how much we should speculate on the BB.

And by Universe are we speaking purely of unoccupied space or are we speaking of more planets and Stars?

And if the Universe is expanding....where is it expanding into? I mean if I blow up a balloon I can see where the expanding balloon is expanding into.

If the Universe is expanding then Does this mean God is still creating? Or does it mean a part of God's creation never stopped the process of creating?

  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

That was mind expansion, not universe expansion, silly.
