A sad and unexpected situation
This recent story hit me at my core. I use to teach High School Spanish and the man in this story use to work in a class beside mine. I am not saying he is guilty, but I would have never imagined this. I ask you to pray for his family (he has a wife and a little girl) and that local community. I found out about this situation a couple of days ago. I was totally shocked and concerned for all the parties involved.

No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

I am glad that these men won't be harming any children for a while!
Abusing a child leaves lifetime scars.

I'm not surprised at all. Go any where and you will see men, young and old, staring inappropriately at teenaged girls. The girls are young and beautiful and some men can't control themselves. Shame on all of them. I'm glad they got caught.

I went to Walmart yesterday and there were a lot of teens there since school was out for the summer. As I walked the aisles, I noticed that so many young girls/teens were wearing such revealing and provocative clothing. I wondered why any parent would let their daughter go out in public given the world that we lived in.
That doesn't excuse any man who would molest a young girl, but if a man had issues with lust, it seemed that it would tempt him even more to do something unseemly if the girls showed so much skin.

I agree. It also seems that mothers dress just as provocative now. It's almost as if they have to compete with the teenagers. I am so glad I don't have a daughter. I get so mad when I see my husband's eleven year old niece wearing clothes with writing across the butt and her parents think nothing of it.

Re: A sad and unexpected situation
Yes, this is a sad situation. But this is proof that the internet is just as dangerous if not more so than TV, but you don't hear it preached against as often. Never heard of anyone making a date with a teenager over the TV.
