Thumbs up Fair Tax

Here is a link to a sight about the Fair Tax. I have e-mailed my senators and congressman encouraging them to support legislation that would implement the Fair Tax.

If you know nothing or little about the Fair Tax I encourage you to read up on it and contact your representatives.

Aren't you guys still under "the Crown?" Don't you have to send a hog's head and a quart of mead to the Windsors every fortnight?

Re: Fair Tax

Verlon,
I believe the concept sounds good. After reading the first book, I still had some questions. I can't remember what they were as I read it several years ago. How do they keep the 23% from going higher, was one.

They put out a second book this spring. I plan on picking this one up.

Are you kidding?

We are ready to ditch the Crown.

Just a figurehead anyway.

Bought this book yesterday at Hastings. I'm anxious to read it. I'll be busy this week, but plan on starting it soon.

Re: Fair Tax

The fair tax doesn't stand a chance.

Besides, biblically speaking an income tax is far more biblical. The nation of Israel had three tithes that served as essential taxes...

-The Levitical tithe.
-The Temple tithe
-The Poor tithe.

In addition there was a flat head tax of all males of 20 years and older. Specific initiatives were funded through specific taxes applied called "burdens".
