Okay, in the space of 5 minutes, I was irritated, then embarrassed, and now I am laughing out loud at myself.
I just did the funniest thing. (Well, those on the mod team can probably still see it....LOL!!!!)
I posted on the Vitamins thread...how that I like Oil of Olay vitamins, and then a second post about D4Truth's affinity for diet sodas. So, satisfied with my posts, I scroll back up to see if there's anything else I want to add...
Lo & Behold: Just a few posts up I find nearly identical posts--by me--quoting the same ones I quoted this morning, except phrased just a bit differently. And I thought (*giggle*) WHO IS MESSING WITH MY HEAD?????? SOMEONE JUST PARAPHRASED MY POSTS AND POSTED DUPLICATES? So, I posted: "Quit Messin' with me!!!!" (Or something similar) Sit back. Satisfied breath. Waiting for a reply from the guilty party.
Nothing.
I scroll back up.
And then.
I notice.
My Mistake.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The earlier posts are dated in September of last year.
Huh?
Oh NO!!!!
*quick, delete my frantic demands of the errant admin*
(Face is red at this point)
And then I start laughing. At me. In the space of 5 minutes I had assumed a conspiracy theory and unraveled it...to find I am the Guilty Party. I set myself up.
The only good news: Apparently I'm so consistent in my thought process that I will give you the same answer 6 months from now that I am giving you now. The bad news: I won't remember the first answer.

Talking to yourself isn't so bad, it's when you start answering yourself that you're definitely nutty material. Ask me how I know.

At least you know enough about what admin is capable of doing to think that the double post might have been someone messing with you. I would have just assumed that I had hit the same button twice. In fact, I HAVE hit the same button twice.

LOL!!!!
My husband is always telling me I have blonde roots...
Jeff started laughing at me the other night at the dinner table (Yes, "AT", not "with"). He was telling me about a phone conversation with his mother, and she mentioned that they had spent $1500.00 on oil last year. I blinked at him in amazement, and said, "Really? That is a LOT to spend on OIL!!!!" He looked surprised, maybe a bit confused, and said, "Well, WE spent nearly $2600 on propane."
*more confused* Thinking..."What does that have to do with anything?"
I said, "She spent $1500 on oil for her CAR?" (I'm still trying to figure up in my head how many bottles of 5W30 that would be.)
My lovely husband starts guffawing. No, not polite laughter. Full-voice ear splitting raucous laughter. He managed to choke out that it was NOT car oil, but fuel to heat their HOUSE.
*red face*
