Things I Love About Kansas

I love Kansas.

The family and I went through there when we went on a skiing trip in January. There were several things I gleaned from my visit.

1. Kansas is not all flat, there are lots of rolling hills.
2. Kansas City is in Missouri (who'd a thunk it?).
3. There are lots of antelope in western Kansas.
4. Salinas is a town with a great Apostolic pastor.
5. Abilene is tiny. I had always thought it was Kansas' version of the big apple.
6. It snows quite a bit in Kansas.
7. I didn't see one sunflower, even though Kansas calls itself "The Sunflower State".

The actual name of the town in SALINA (no "s")
The Kansas version of "the big apple" is Manhattan- home to K-STATE.
You didn't see sunflowers because they haven't bloomed yet. Take you a trip about June or July and you'll see thousands and thousands of them. There are fields and fields of them. They grow wild here. When they bloom I'll step out my door and take some pictures and send them to ya.

Yes, we have and AWESOME Apostolic pastor here. IMHO, he's one of the greatest ones you'll meet. (Not biased, just have great taste and a brain that knows what good is. any questions?)
