I received this via email:
"I know these pictures are unbelievable...but they still do not do the magnitude of the destruction justice unless you see it in person. My friend's daughter survived this....in fact no one was killed at Union University only by God's grace. I'm grateful for that...but sorry for the people that did suffer loss of life."
The friend that sent me this had this insight below:
Here are some pics a friend sent from Union. She is student teaching now, so luckily she wasn't there during the storm. She will be unable to go back into her dorm at any time so she said she had to go yesterday to buy new clothes, shoes, underwear, makeup, etc. She still has to do her Student teaching in order to graduate in May, so she just has to keep going. I feel so bad for her, b/c she is so busy that she hasn't had a lot of time to stop and think about what she's missing. She said it comes to her one thing at a time. When she goes to get something, she just writes it down for insurance purposes. A couple of a student that she teaches offered for her to stay with them for the rest of the semester so she wouldn't have to get an apartment or drive from Paris each day. I'm constantly amazed at the unselfishness of people!
